HUMAN MACHINE INTERFACE

 

A Human Machine Interface (HMI) is the apparatus which presents process data to a human operator, and through which the human operator controls the process.

The HMI can be used to turn functions on and off, set parameters, monitor process variables, manage recipes, display alarms and diagnostic / troubleshooting information.
